time really files very fast indeed. already at the end of October and facing November. soon December lurks by, and before we know it, 2010 embraces us. let's take time to count our blessing before the year end.
my beloved dad does this family tradition where he ask my mom, me and little brother to list down all the blessings that we had for the entire year. big or small blessings. after compiling it for one week, then during family prayer time, we have to share our blessings. this culture is indeed very good. it allows us to reflect on what happen through out the entire year. besides thanking the lord for sustaining us through the entire year.
looking back, a lot of things happened for this year. sweet and bad. its easy for us to just thank the lord for the sweet and good things. what about the bad and not nice things that happened? sometimes things happen for a reason. reasons that we can seem to understand. why the lord allows us through it? only he has the answers.
looking back, when we bad through all the bad times in the year, wasn't is the lord's hand in guiding us through? he is always there for us. sometimes we get occupied with too many things, that we leave him aside. and when we need him desperately, he seeks him like to tomorrow. the lord is no Santa Claus giving out our heart desires freely. it has to be according to his will and plan. most important, we always lay our heart desires to the lord. if it is according to his will and plan, it will be done. have faith in the power of prayer.
ponder on this verses:
Ephesians 5:20
Always use the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to thank God the Father for everything
Jeremiah 29:11
I will bless you with a future filled with hope, a future for success, not of suffering.
Matthew 17:20
If you had faith no larger than a mustard seed, you can tell this mountain to move from here to there. and it would. everything would be possible for you.
p/s: life is a roller coaster
